THE HISTORY

The enterprise was established in 1995 by Stilian Dichev and Boyko Atanassov. Until 1995, their projects were undertaken by sub-contracting firms, but the increasing interest towards the innovative design and the need of improved quality lead to the acquisition of machinery and equipment, thus founding their own production business. A team of five designers was recruited: Stilian Dichev, Elitza Milcheva, architect Rositza Karapetkova, Nevena Trifonova and Emil Andonov, as well as about fifty employees, working in the production department.

The effective business structure allows for the conspicuous achievements in the sphere of the complete interior designing and the manufacturing of the majority of the furniture components. The presence of own production factory supports the designers in their striving to implement their daring ideas.

Being in the business of all interior types – private and public, and offering a full range of services, such as planning, manufacturing and control, ‘Forma S’ LTD is a preferred partner by the customers.

In 2006, ‘Forma S’ LTD constructed its new production-administrative building and closed down all of its exterior offices. In this way they housed the previously separate functions of planning and manufacturing under the same roof. This permitted for tremendous improvement in the operation excellence and the product quality. The factory, which is equipped with the latest machinery and production facilities for furniture-making, complies with all the necessary requirements for all quality standards and conditions for working environment within the EU.

The management:

• Stilian Dichev has a degree in art – he has studied in the Tehnicon for visual arts in Sofia, the fine arts college ‘Surikov’, in Moscow, Russia and the Academy for fine arts ‘N. Pavlovich’ in Sofia, Bulgaria. After completing his studies, he participated in fifteen exhibitions displaying his own work in the field of painting, installation and design in Bulgaria and overseas; he also partook in numerous general art exhibitions. Since 1992, his attention is focused mainly on the interior furniture design. Within the company, he is in charge of the planning and development of long-term objectives, and he leads the designer employee force.
• Boyko Atanassov graduated from the Technikon for photography and polygraphy ‘Julius Fuchik’ in Sofia – pursuing a degree in ‘Photozincography’. From 1985, he worked as a photographer in the Bulgarian National Television. He participated in the creation and development of some of the first video clips. After 1993, he pursues a career in interior furniture design. His job within the company includes leadership in the technical and logistics department.
• Rumen Delchev graduated in the Technicon for carpentry and interior architecture in Sofia – specializing in ‘Interior architecture’. He has a 25-year experience in the field of furniture manufacturing. In 1995, he joined the workforce of ‘Forma S’ Ltd. He is in charge of operations and production.

Achievements:

• 2006 – The staff of ‘Forma S’ Ltd. received a reward by the Union of Architects in Bulgaria for the project and execution of hotel ‘Meridian’ in Sunny beach.
• 2007 – a reward for ‘Office of the year’, adapted from ‘Office Magazine’, for the project and execution of the office furnishing of the Irish chain companies West Incorporated.

Interior projects of the company are being published on a regular basis in the specialized magazines, such as ‘Perfect home’ and ‘Our home’, as well as by other media.
